Cover letter is an essential and tricky part of your job search, but I have come up with a sure fire way to help you create the almost perfect and most appropriate cover letter for your résumé.

Step 1: Cover Letter Basic Info

The format of cover letter should have the standard business letter format, starting with your address, the date, skipping a few lines to add the contact info of the employer. Make sure to find out if the person you're writing to is a “Sir” or “Madam.”

Step 2: Cover Letter the Open

Your first paragraph should introduce yourself and the reason for the letter. Like “You are XYZ, and you are a Developer at ABC organization for n number of years”, and you are writing in response to this job which you found through…etc.

Step 3: Put Your Professional Qualifications to the Job

The next one paragraph should allude to the job description and how your experience fits it. This is most important section of your cover letter because this demonstrates to the employer how well you are able to communicate your business sense.

Step 4: Close

Close your cover letter with suggestion a method for following up, such as a phone call or an email which you will initiate. Leave a space to sign before typing in your name.

Step 5: Print & Check

After running the spell checker of MS word, print out a hard copy to proofread, and after any revisions are complete, use some nice paper, preferably the same as your resume, for the final laser printout.

Step 6: Talent Signs

Sign your name, and send it away along with your resume.
